Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018: Global Operations Readiness #4986 December 1, 2017
Effective December 1, 2017, Microsoft is excited to announce the availability of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018. Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a complete enterprise resource planning (ERP) software solution for mid-sized organizations. It is fast to implement, easy to configure, and simple to use.
What’s new in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018?
Since Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017, we have introduced or simplified the following features and functionality:
- Setup and configuration:
- Microsoft has added a Setup and Extensions button in the navigation pane for the Business Manager and Accountant role centers. From the list of actions, you can open practically all setup pages, either assisted or manual. You can also open setup pages for service connections and extensions. Third-party extension providers can add their actions to the list.
- In the Manual Setup action group, each action refers to an area, such as General, Finance, and System. The row for each setup page has keywords allowing you to both search across setup pages and to filter the list to only see setup pages within a given area.
- User tasks:
- In Dynamics NAV 2018, you can create tasks to remind you of work to be done. You can create tasks for yourself. You can assign tasks to others. You can be assigned a task by someone else in your organization.
New customers can order Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 starting on December 1, 2017.
For existing customers with an active enhancement plan, Microsoft will automatically upgrade existing Dynamics NAV 2017 customers to Dynamics NAV 2018 in early December.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 customers are entitled to request a transition upgrade of their license. If approved, they can upgrade to Dynamics NAV 2018 from December 1, 2017.
Please note that Dynamics NAV 2018 will not be available in India.
