From Microsoft: The need for urgent collective action to keep people safe online: Lessons from last week’s cyberattack

Queue Associates — a Microsoft Gold Dynamics Partner — received the following important note from Microsoft at the beginning of this week.

MicrosoftSecurity

“Over the weekend, Microsoft’s President and Chief Legal Officer, Brad Smith, posted a blog looking at the broader implications of the malicious “WannaCrypt” software attack that took place over the last few days. If you haven’t yet, please take a few minutes to read through it.  Many of our joint customers have questions about this attack, and I know many of them are coming to you for the answers.  The Microsoft team has also published technical guidance for customers that you are welcome to read through and send out if you would like.

Through these publications, I hope that you can see Microsoft’s determination to do more for our customers and find new ways to protect them.

This is also a perfect time to talk to your customers about their online security and data backup plans.  Microsoft has many offerings that can assist customers… Windows 10 Enterprise, Enterprise Mobility & Security, Advanced Threat Protection and Azure Backup.  These are all components of a Secure Productive Enterprise!

Thanks for taking a proactive stance on this issue and securing our joint customers!”
