On Tuesday, July 18, Queue Associates‘ Managing Director, Jeffrey Goldstein, volunteered to address WE CONNECT THE DOTS, and meet with, and mentor, young people that participate in the program. The mission of We Connect the Dots (WCTD), “is to excite, inform and educate students about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) careers.” Mr. Goldstein — who, more than two decades ago, founded, and continues to lead, Queue Associates (a global Microsoft Gold Dynamics Partner) — brought his considerable experience to lively discussions with the children attending the WCTD CreatingSTEAM 2017 Summer Program about becoming educated, and following careers, in Information Technology. He also discussed emerging technologies, following attendance at, and program leadership in, Microsoft Inspire 2017 earlier this month.
Mentoring of young people by leading science and technology professionals is at the heart of WCTD’s work: “Through collaboration with the community, education, government and the technology industry, WCTD provides awareness and education of the 21st Century workforce skills, as well as the opportunities available to students embracing STEAM careers. Impacting students at a local, national and global level, our programs create a hunger for learning that empowers students to find their own paths to success.”
Jenny Adames, WCTD Volunteer Event Manager & Event Planner,, wrote to thank Mr. Goldstein: “We would like to thank you for speaking to the students yesterday afternoon. We are grateful for the time and effort you took to share your personal and professional thoughts and experiences with us. Since we always encourage innovative growth as a nonprofit organization, your guidance was genuinely appreciated. I believe the students will benefit from the suggestion you gave about starting small and simple and always making sure that it’s something they like doing.” Ms. Adames then enthusiastically invited Mr. Goldstein to participate in another event in the future.
